Wow... very cool. Nice to see some non-organic models coming in the gallery. I always love the organic stuff... but Silo gets knocked for not being able to do anything else... so, it's cool to see stuff like this.

Very nice image, nice use of textures too. I haven't tried anything non organic yet but if I can achieve anything close to this I'd be a very happy guy I can tell you. Well done.

by the way, is there a way to view normals within silo? and if so how can they be flipped and as a wish it would be nice if objects could become normalized with a keystroke?
everything looks good in silo, but when i export to .obj and import to render, i have to go in and smooth out a lot of (majority in cases) the geometry. i'm usually just duplicating chunks from objects i'm working with to start the next object, so i can see how things could get flipped around all the time.... Hi.
Look under "Display-> Object Display Mode->ShowNormals" plus "Backface Culling" in the Display Settings will give you instant feedback about flipped normals. Cheers P. |
