I know this challenge is essentially over, but I wanted to continue with the texturing. I had seen some really great renders recently from Dasch with Strata, so I decided to dust off my copy. Strata does have a nice render engine; this is all with a diffuse layer; bump map is still to come with further painting. I couldn't resist a little painted fire with some motion blur...

Looks Good Matt. Has a Retro Pulp Comic book look to it.

Ditched the camo- cleaned the mesh a little and then tried in 3dcoat again.

Here is where it stands until I figure out how to get the model out of 3dcoat and into Maxwell.
Screen grab from 3dcoat composited in PS.

Selection: mseydel

Well done mseydel on your great rendition of the Thunderbirds ship. You've been selected as the T-shirt winner this week. Several other strong models from parel, Kyro, modelwright and Kaylon. Keep up the good work!

thanks, folks! I owe Kyro a debt for texturing so well early in the week; that got my butt in gear to UV map and texture. I'm psyched about the shirt- I'll wear it proudly at the next Autodesk NYC Users group meet-up!
