Illustrations for Billboards

Hey guys!
I built these last year and can finally post them.
They were used on Billboards in Eastern and Central Canada.
I am currently creating a bunch more items like these for a print campaign.

great work on these Dasch! I especially like how the pig has a ceramic or plaster-like luster...
Strata for the renders?

Very appealing. Did you design the textures too? Super clean renders with Strata. I'm impressed!

Thanks LoveFest!
I didn't design the pattern that I applied as a texture. It was created by Tracy Walker (represented by i2i Art Inc.)

Beautiful modeling too--especially the pig. I keep thinking that bread package needs to have a shiny plastic shader. :P

Good eye, man. We did try a different shader; but wanted to keep all the objects in the group much more similar in final appearance.

Thanks. So you did all the UVs in Silo? I think you're the king of the UVs around here. The pig looks great. The pattern of the texture is complex enough to have been a real challenge for me.

That's right - all UV's in Silo - as well as modeling. The UV-mapping process gets easier and easier. And yes the piggy was difficult. I just finished another similar project for Sobeys - hope to be able to post soon. A number of objects modeled and wrapped in the same pattern, including a teapot, a blender, a passenger plane, a chef's hat and a bow and gift tag. The agency is very pleased with all the illustrations.

Here we go. These are the two illustrations I completed in January.
Modeled and UVmapped in Silo. Rendered in StrataCX.

It was definitely the most troublesome model of the bunch. We went back and forth with it, adding wrinkles, smoothing wrinkles, making it puffier etc. BTW: All polygon modeling, no displacement sculpting.

The client must be quite happy with the way the campaign illustration translates into the texture. I know that wasn't easy. Well done!

But I still don't know how you get so much paying work using this buggy software!
