Peugeot AC240 Slider / Peugeot 403 v2.0 FC Homage - Concept Cars
Hi every one!
This is my first post here and I would like to show a work that I did on 2006 for the Peugeot's 4th Edition Contest, using Silo v1.42 for all modeling process, then the concept car was rendered on 3dsMax 8 using max materials. I called this concept car 'AC240 Slider' because one of the aspects of the concept is the option to slide the chasis to enable the two back seats, or to hide them and make the car smaller to use less space. PS: The skeleton model is not mine, it was downloaded 3 years ago from Nevercenter on its previous website design. Sorry for not write the name of the author of the skeleton's model because the file doesn't have any info about it. I hope you will like this. Last edited by cayeya; 01-10-2009 at 05:22 AM. |

Hi, here are a few screenshots from my model, a few progress comparison of the chasis, a closeup to the tire and suspension, the inside of the concept with chasis expanded, and a few views of the complete concept.

Peugeot 403 v2.0 FC - Homage
Hi Dasch and thanks! The 'AC240 Slider' concept was made for the 2006 competition, the winner that year was a concept car called 'Flux'.
I also made a concept in the 2008 for Peugeot's 5th Edition Contest, that I called '403 v2.0 FC - Homage' wich was created as a tribute to a Peugeot's classic that was born more than 50 years ago, the 403 (1955) and 403 cabriolet (1957), taking the distinctive elements of its different versions and mixing its features. Now the competition has ended and the 2008 winner was a car called 'RD'. I used Silo 2.0 for all the modeling process, also for preview colors and materials , and 3ds Max with V-Ray materials for lights and rendering. Well, here are some shots of my 2008 concept, I hope this concept car will like you all too.Last edited by cayeya; 01-10-2009 at 02:49 PM. |

Thanks guys! I appreciate all your comments!
I noticed that an image of the 'AC240 slider' is on the Forum front page and at Nevercenter.com Home and Gallery pages, WOW! it's quite an honor to be there among great artists and modelers . Thanks! Also I would like to show the video of the 403 v2.0 Homage that I made for the competition, I was thinking on upload this file on some video hosting service but then I decided to put it on a empty site that I have, so now I'm making a quick page to show this, as soon as I finish this I'll put the link. Cheers. |

Bravo, Adrian!
Excellent video - I like the headlights - they look like animal eyes. |

I'm digging that. Everything. Love the tires. I was thinking the exact same thing about tires. Why doesn't the auto manufacturing industry try it? I think it's possible.
Bunkspeed has a new real time GI renderer that's extremely fast. Lots of peeps are using it for automotive rendering. Bunkspeed http://www.bunkspeed.com check out webinars: http://hypershotwebinars.blogspot.com/

Hi, thanks to everyone for taking the time to take a look at this!
to Dasch: Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I was looking to achive an agressive and dinamic form, and also obtain a wild look with the headlights, as if the car is saying to the actual oil dependency: 'watch out, here I go'. to LoveFest: The tires were designed taking in mind the old tires from the 50s when a tire usually came with a white color on one side, but now with a futuristic cool look. And thanks for the links, now I'm watching the webinars. This is a great render tool, for sure I'll give it a try. Cheers! |
