Thanks. Made a torso for the Chimera. I'll take both back into Silo for a combined retopo, add some arms ad start a final sculpt once I have some time.

I started the retopo in Silo. Trying something different with the chest...it's a little messy though.

Damn fine work here, Teyon. You're fast becoming my hero with such a solid Silo to Zbrush workflow, and your dedication to the modeling craft is paying off in spades. I think it's clear that you're got the added talent to back up the skills.
Are you laying out all of your UVs prior to exporting the .obj from Silo to start sculpting? Or just using adaptive UVs in Zbrush? |

Thanks! Anything I make that needs UV's gets the full treatment in Silo and/or UVLayout. I wouldn't touch ZBrush's UV tools with a ten foot pole - talk about confusing. lol.

hey teyon. that's looking real good!
i like the retopo more than the actual sculpt. and the mesh looks very efficient (i know it's still i WiP) the silo sculpt from the previous page also looks very good. keep it going and keep us updating. |

Hei, hei. Very cool ZBrush model Teyon.
I especially like the blending of the muscles into... those strings... I mean those "muscles or something similar to that" on his chest. Just the lower limbs and the pelvis could use some more work. I miss the little detail of the chest there. Why do you retopologize his body with so many polygons? Any future plans? "ko'gen".

Thanks gang. Yes, I may want him moving and/or pose-able down the road. Sorry to be away so long, I've been busy having the worst birthday week ever. Back now though.
Will be posting some more work related stuff in the next two or three days. I should mention right now that I will also be entering the ZBrush Superhero challenge because I love the theme and if I don't it'll haunt me for years to come. lol. So my Silo base mesh may be taking a spin in the old Z machine one more time. |

Here's a character I did for work. I'm still learning what I can and can't do in Poser, so some things didn't turn out the way I wanted when I made the mesh but still, it's nice to see it pose-able. I was on vacation for the final week of production, so there were things done I wouldn't have had I been there the whole way. We just released the character to the Poser community today. It was modeled in Silo, textured in ZBrush, rigged in Poser. Hope it sells well.

Awesome work! Very impressive!
I have to ask .. how do you rig your models in Poser? I've used Poser and would love to use it in the future (easy to pose) ... So yeah. Do you have any tutorials to share? Hints/tips/voodoo? Anyway, back to the model at hand: Very slick. Looks trollish.

Thanks gang! Yeah, it's supposed to be an orc but it came out more troll than orc. Models have a mind of their own sometimes. I'd say it can often be the dream gig but there are those times I want to take tweasers to my shaved head.

Nice work Teyon. Dynamic poses can really add allot of believability to a digital character, great example. That "superhero" challenge over at Pixologic is really tempting, great prizes, i'm already traumatized lol, i'll try to join up and sneak in some polygons when nobody's watching

Thanks gang. Here's the recent thingie. Uses my super hero base mesh posted like...a year ago I think. Anyway, it's for a contest and the base was made in Silo so here it is. I still have to get the lighting and the base to look good. I'm basically happy with the pose though. Basically.

Thanks! I accidentally deleted the lower subD levels (the equivalent of refining in Silo) and now I have to redo some of the more recent stuff I did that led to the previous image. Oh well. Have a Happy New Year!
