heres an update - did some of the texture work in the weekend.

before i get all the credit, then i used a drawing by skottie young for reference/idea - he got a great line!
- should have typed that in my first post - shame on me. (but went a bit fast).

/cheers

Here is a prop that I've built as part of a book cover illustration I'm working on.
I'm still working on textures for these pieces.

vader_dk: Nice translation, looking at the sketch, you could play some more with the dynamic angles of the character, he's got some nice atittude going on around the shoulders, hips and lower legs, hope you're plannining to add that cool cyborg arm, otherwise good job

Dasch: Nothing much to crit, nice illustrations as usual, and pro presentation

I like the animation too. The swinging of the tail seems to work fine - any more and it would distract from the other action.

Here is what I worked on in Silo 2 today.

A simple monster character.
The texture is just a real rough quick paint job to get a feel for the style of the character.
He is rigged and rendered in StrataCX.

Really love the Mummy Dasch!

Here's an update on my Littlest Mummy character.
I've started adding loose bandages and have started work on his sarcophagus.

Hey guys!
The book cover is nearing completion.
Some details to work out with the Writer, and some overlays to do yet in Photoshop.
I'm also starting an Illustration for the back of the book jacket.

In the meantime; here is a little peek at the cover Illustration in progress (fountain pen was built by my buddy John Barrie):

vader: The airscooter thing looks superb - especially with the very efficient use of minimal polys.

That's a slightly disturbing cover. Except the pen, is any of it 3D?

Sorry for the disturbing nature of the Illustration LoveFest!
That's the price we pay for being artist's for hire.

And it's ALL 3D, hehehe.
