Add Light
Materials/Light> Add Light
Description:
The Add Light command will create a light
at the center of the work grid, based on parameters that you specify in
the Light Options window (Materials/Light
> Add Light > ...). In that window you can set default
values for the type of light (point, spot, or directional), the color
of the diffuse, ambient, and specular components of the light, and several
values that affect the way the light grows dimmer with distance from the
source (constant attenuation, linear attenuation, polynomial attenuation,
spot exponent, and spot cutoff). See the help file on the Light
Properties dialog for more information on these settings.
Notes:
- Once a light is created, you can edit its type and settings using the
Light Properties dialog.
- You can enter vertex selection mode while a light is selected to change
its direction for directional and spot lights.
